Animal overview

The squirrel, belonging to the family Sciuridae,refers to those rodents with long fluffy hair on their tails and now there are about 285 species in 58 genera extant.
Except for areas near the poles or in the most arid deserts where the climate is extreme and the vegetation is simple, this species is active in various terrestrial environments and some play a vital role in the ecosystem.
